Hyundai Veracruz is the seven-seater and has more cargo volume, but 9.7 inches shorter than a Mercedes-Benz GL. Inside, the room is put to good use with a third-row “Hyundai Hideaway” bench seat.
The car doesn’t lack for power. Hyundai’s 260-hp 3.8-liter V-6 is under the hood, teamed with a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine, shared with the Azera sedan, is capable of 25 mpg on the highway.

The safety equipment is comprehensive. It includes an anti-lock brakes with brake assist, along with tire pressure monitors and stability control. There you can also found dual front, side, and curtain airbags.
In new Hyundai there offered three editions. The base GLS will come with an AM/FM/XM/CD player with MP3 capability and power locks/windows/mirrors. A Premium package option includes a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, power driver seat, heated front seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a backup warning system.
Some models, which are limited, have a leather seating, heated front seats, a power front passenger seat, automatic climate control, the Infinity audio system, and a power sunroof and tailgate.
In 2008 the Veracruz Limited will offer such standard items as: memory settings for the power driver seat, exterior mirrors and steering wheel, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, adjustable gas and brake pedals, proximity key with immobilizer, rain-sensing wipers, 115-volt power outlets, and lighted door scuff plates.
