Aveo5’s debut at the auto show

Today at the Los Angeles auto show, debuted new hatchback Aveo5 by Chevrolet. It will be sell next year with base price in $ 10,000. Thanks to a fuel-efficient 1.6-liter four with 107 horsepower and 106 pound-feet of torque, and either a five-speed manual or an optional four-speed automatic, the new Aveo5 will get 26/34 mpg.

The new Aveo5 design is much more sophisticated than the previous version (the Aveo four-door sedan was renewed last year).
The transmission is a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic, front-wheel drive, so the cabin is to be able to carry five passengers. The rear bench has theater-style seating and a 60/40 split for cargo flexibility.
In the new Aveo5 there will be also offered a storage and convenience bins all over the interior, and some higher-end features like cruise control, XM and a large sunroof.
The Aveo5 is made on a short 97.7-inch wheelbase. Fourteen-inch wheels are standard, while 15-inchers (and anti-lock brakes) are optional.
The major standard equipment includes: AM/FM stereo and OnStar. The safety equipment consist of dual front and side airbags.
