Kia to bring production Soul to U.S. in 2009
Kia will bring its new Soul small car to rival Scion in the U.S. by early 2009. The Korean automaker also plans to introduce the car in the Chinese market by December 2009.

Code-named AM, the Kia Soul project is next after the Borrego 7-seater SUV which will arrive later this summer. Power is expected to come from 2.0 liter 4-cylinder unit with front-wheel-drive.
The Kia Soul will follow the Scion way of marketing by allowing buyers to customize the car according to their preference. Kia first showed the Soul concept in three different variants at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. As with the Kia Soul Concepts the production model will have a unitary bodyshell with a 2550 mm wheelbase. All measure 4.1 meters with a spacious body that measures 1785 mm wide and 1610 mm high.
