Volkswagen SP-2 was built in Brazil from 1972-1976. It was named after the firm’s plant in Sao Paulo and was sold only in the South American market.
Power came from a rear-mounted, 4-cylinder boxer engine that developed 65 hp, which was good for a top speed of 161 km/h (100 mph).
Now designer Marcelo Rosa has created a modern interpretation of SP-2. This concept looks good and perhaps some big heads over at the Volkswagen see it as attractive, as we do and we can see something similar soon as an official concept by Volkswagen.
