The scoring function offers accumulated, long-term feedback via graphic ‘leaves’, which ‘grow’ over time as drivers learn and then implement a sleeker driving style that raises fuel economy.

The visual character of the scoring function presentation makes it easy and enjoyable for drivers to enhance the efficiency of their driving skills in time.

“Hybrid technology delivers great fuel economy and low emissions, but these can both be affected by driving style. This new package encourages greener, more efficient driving, in a fun and engaging way,” says John Kingston, Government Affairs and Environment Manager at Honda (UK).

The technology will increase further the attractiveness of the Honda Insight, which is scheduled to be publicly displayed in the UK in the spring of next year.

It was already announced by Honda that the 5-door family vehicle will be considerably priced lower than any other hybrid currently on the market, making petrol-electric technology available to more people.
