Volvo Cars has created a groundbreaking piece of technology that detects when a pedestrian is walking out in front of a car and activates the vehicle’s full braking power, if a driver fails to respond to the situation.

The Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake is to be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show next month within the Volvo S60 Concept.

Toyota’s latest compact 7-seater MPV has been unveiled in Japan on Christmas day, so let’s check out the full details of the new compact people carrier that will make its way onto Malaysian shores sometime in the second half of 2009 as the new Perodua MPV.

The grandson of Toyota Motor Corp.’s founder is considered the most likely candidate to take over as president of the company next year, according to numerous media reports in Japan and the U.S.

Akio Toyoda, 52, is currently an executive vice president of the Japanese automaker. His grandfather, Kiichiro Toyoda, founded the company.
