New pedestrian safety technology from Volvo

Collisions with pedestrians could occur with far less regularity for used car drivers who buy a new Volvo, thanks to the inclusion of preventative safety technology.

Volvo Cars has created a groundbreaking piece of technology that detects when a pedestrian is walking out in front of a car and activates the vehicle’s full braking power, if a driver fails to respond to the situation.
The Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake is to be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show next month within the Volvo S60 Concept.
