Miami based 360 Forged, specialising in manufacturing wheels packages, has unveiled the Straight 5ive Carbon wheels for the Ferrari F430 after 2 years in development.

In the photos, the Ferrari F430 features Gruppe M carbon fiber intake, RennSport One and EvoMS ECU tune, Novitech exhaust without catalytic, Hamann lower lip kit and H&R coilover springs.

Mini Convertible has neat roof

One of the greatest features of the new Mini Convertible Cooper S is the “neat” way that its canvas hood operates, a reviewer of the vehicle has stated.

Writing for Car Magazine, Greg Fountain states that a “much cleaner look” is created, as the single-piece rollbar stays hidden behind the vehicle’s rear seats until it is needed.

Buyers also only have to wait 15 seconds for the roof to retract into the boot, while an extra five litres of boot space is available to motorists, compared to those owning the previous model.

Nissan X-Trail 20GT Wins Energy Conservation Prize

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced that the X-TRAIL 20GT featuring clean diesel engine, released in September 2008, has won the ANRE (Agency for Natural Resources and Energy) Director-General’s award in the 19th annual Energy Conservation Prize. This is the second consecutive year that Nissan has won the prize awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The award is open to the public, and covers a wide range of energy conservation innovations, including use of new energy- and resource-saving or high energy-efficient materials, equipment and systems for non-military use. It recognizes innovative ideas to help accelerate wider commercial application of new energy conservation technologies.

Gulf One Z06 tops $1 million at auction

An icon of 1960s racing, the Gulf One Corvette Z06 racer, was in familiar position last weekend at the Mecum Auction–first.

The 1963 car sold for $1.05 million at the Kissimmee, Fla., event–doubling the price of a 1962 Mercedes 300 SL, which went for $525,000, not including the buyer’s premiums.

The racer is based on a production Corvette Sting Ray. It’s one of 14 from 1963 assigned specifically for competition and was one of two outfitted by Don Yenko.
