Dodge Viper that never existed

A designer has created a vision of the past that never was, and imagined a Dodge Viper from 1967.
1992 was the first year of existence for the Viper, a bruiser of a two-seater that is arguably Dodge’s first supercar.
It’s fun to imagine how a car’s design will evolve in the future, but what about recreating how it might have looked if it had been invented in the past?
Brazilian car designer Rafael Reston decided to take the Dodge Viper and transport it back to 1967.
In his photo-realistic renderings, Rafael was as faithful as possible to materials, construction techniques and the tastes of the time.
His 3D designs show the underbody mounted to a V8 Challenger engine, whilst the cockpit is decked out in mahogany and leather, carefully matched to the more popular colours of the era.
29-year old Rafael has even calculated that his 1960s Viper would have cost around 4,110 US dollars, which would have made it a serious rival for the Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray.
In 2009, Chrysler’s cars are selling so badly the company probably wishes it could go back in time. source
