Stolen documents causing problems

hpi290509Despite warnings, stolen serial numbers from vehicle registration documents continue to be a big problem.

V5 registration documents are used by criminals to accompany stolen cars that have had their identity changed to match a legitimate vehicle.

Clone vehicles are then sold to unsuspecting buyers who lose out when they find their latest purchase is a stolen car.

Look out for stolen certificates, which have a different background colour on the Notification of Permanent Export (V5C/4) tear off slip on the second page.

First Delivery of Fully Electric, Zero Emission MINI E

AUTO CENTRAL – May 29, 2009: His favourite pioneer is Leonardo da Vinci, but now Peter Trepp can consider himself a bona fide pioneer, as he has become the first of several hundred customers in the United States to take delivery of the MINI E – a fully electric, zero emissions vehicle—as part of a year-long field study.

But now Toyota’s grand prix team is selling a host of high-tech parts from its past racing cars.

Carbon fibre wings, brakes and light alloy wheels can all be had with the click of a mouse, with prices ranging from £175 to £4,400.
