Lamborghini releases teaser no.5 for 2010 Paris Motor Show

With just days to go until its full unveiling at the Paris Motor Show this week, Lamborghini has released the fifth teaser shot of its mysterious and hotly anticipated new show car. This latest image follows the one released just yesterday, and if we had to guess, we’d say we were looking through a roll hoop behind the cockpit at the steering wheel inside. A Prius-based pickup? Toyota A-BAT Concept could possibly enter production

Automakers never really make concepts just for the sake of making them – so when the Toyota A-BAT Concept made its debut at the 2007 Detroit Motor Show, many expected the model to go into production. However, three years later, Toyota has yet to confirm any production intent for the A-BAT.

Acura’s future still has no V8, planning compact based on Honda Civic

Last year was a pretty exciting year for Acura dealers as they were promised a V8 engine, a rear-wheel-drive platform and a sports car to replace the much-loved NSX – all the formulas needed to be a successful luxury automaker. Now, all those dreams have died for the brand, we’re pretty confused what Acura plans on doing to moving its luxury image more upmarket.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L by ARK to debut at SEMA

Korean tuner ARK Performance has a tuning package for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L (called the ARK Track Time Attach Genesis Coupe 3.8L) which it will premiere at the SEMA show in Las Vegas later this year.

Details on the final performance numbers are still to be had but ARK is saying it’s engine modifications will take the 3.8 liter DOHC V6 engine with 306 hp (228 kW) standard rating and dial things up to around 450 hp (336 kW).

Mercedes-Benz increases sales forecast

With the global auto market starting to show signs of recovery, Daimler – the parent company of Mercedes-Benz – has increased its sales forecast for its leading luxury brand.

Daimler expects Mercedes-Benz sales to climb to 1.5 million units by 2015, thanks in large part for an influx of new vehicles and technologies slated to hit the market beginning in 2011. The company’s all-new CLS – which will officially debut at the Paris Motor Show – will lead that charge.
