After offering the Viper brand for sale early this year, Chrysler has announced it will keep the V10 sports car as part of its Dodge range.
Chrysler said in a statement that the Viper would be produced “through 2010 and beyond”.
The change of heart for the Viper sale reportedly comes after no satisfactory bids for the sports car division were received.

The Dodge Circuit EV seems to have gotten approval for production. Even though there has not been any official announcement yet, the viability plan of Chrysler included an ‘EV Roadster’ as part of their product line for next year.

Steve Saleen and his brand new company, SMS Limited, showed off their very first production vehicle here at the 2009 New York Auto Show – the SMS 570 Challenger. Based on the Dodge Challenger R/T, the SMS 570 Challenger features an SMS Red Butterfly Induction hood and other SMS ultra-high performance elements like an upgraded drivetrain, suspension, aerodynamics, tires, wheels and interior.

The old 4-speed automatic transmission is one of the weaknesses of the Dodge Challenger SE. At last Dodge has decided to provide the Challenger SE an extra gear by giving it the 5-speed automatic found in the V8 models.
