Hyundai iX55 makes European Premiere at Moscow Show

Hyundai chose the Moscow International Auto Show to reveal the European version of the Veracruz SUV. Following the company’s European alphanumeric nomenclature, the Veracruz will be called ‘iX55’ in the European and Russian markets. As you can see in the official photo above, there are no styling changes compared to the North American version of the large SUV.

Hyundai to Launch Sonata Hybrid in 2010.

Hyundai’s first entry into the gasoline-electric hybrid segment is scheduled to arrive on U.S. shores within the next two years via the Sonata sedan. Prototypes should to be hitting the road around November and this Sonata Hybrid is said to feature cutting-edge lithium-ion battery technology, but will not be plug-in rechargeable.

If various surveys that place Hyundai on par with the likes of Honda for quality don’t offer convincing-enough evidence, then these numbers should: Hyundai’s U.S. sales have quadrupled over the last decade.

Hyundai team up on Genesis coupe
Hyundai is planning a big showing at this year’s SEMA show, dispatching with orange Elantras and be-winged Accents in favor of highlighting the automaker’s first foray into rear-wheel-drive performance. The Hyundai Genesissedan won’t launch in the U.S. until later this summer but Hyundai says that dealers have already presold 700 units of its luxury car along with more than 20,000 customers who have expressed interest in the car.
