Senior Management Changes At Automobiles Peugeot

Vincent Rambaud is appointed CEO of Automobiles Peugeot with effect from 2nd April; he will report to Jean-Marc Gales, Marques Director, PSA Peugeot Citroen.

Vincent Rambaud, 51, was previously Director of PSA Peugeot Citroën’s Latin American zone.

Jean-Marc Gales, said : “Vincent Rambaud’s international experience will be a strong factor in successfully meeting the challenge of Peugeot’s globalisation, at a time when the Marque, on the strength of a new identity and a totally revamped, expanded range, is rediscovering a growth dynamic”.

New Limited Run Peugeot 207 S16 is All Show, No Go

French carmaker Peugeot is capitalizing on Kriss Meeke’s 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) driver’s title with the creation of the special edition 207 S16 that will be produced in a mere 250 examples, all of which are intended for the UK market.

Peugeot names former concept designer as new design director

French automaker Peugeot has named its concept car chief, Gilles Vidal, as its new Design Director. Vidal will assume the position effective early next year and will report directly to the automaker’s lead Design Director, Jean-Pierre Ploué.

Peugeot launches eco-version of 207 capable of 99g/km of CO2

An eco version of the Peugeot 207 hatchback has been launched emitting 99g/km of CO2, matching the Polo Bluemotion. The 1.6-liter HDi motor in the 207 Economique produces 90bhp, 11bhp more than the Volkswagen. The car costs £100 less than the Polo, at £12,995.

It has a unique aerodynamic pack and streamlined wheel trims. Ride height is lowered by 5mm and undertray covers have been placed on either side of the exhaust system and the fuel tank.

The New Peugeot 207 Economique

Europe’s top selling small hatchback, the Peugeot 207, is now even ‘greener’ with the introduction of the new Peugeot 207 Economique and Economique + which emit only 99g/km of CO2.

In 2008, one in every six new cars sold that emit less than 120 g/km of CO2 was a Peugeot. Peugeot hold the protection of the environment as a key design strength in all its vehicles and is continuously developing them to reduce their emissions to the lowest possible level.
