2010 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid by speedART

We’ve said this before; we don’t know why environmentally-conscious people would even look into beefing up their hybrid, but apparently there are some people who are interested in juicing up the horsepower on the Cayenne S Hybrid while still maintaining a “green” state of mind. Back in June, Cargraphic came out with a performance package for the Cayenne Hybrid and now SpeedArt has prepared one. Of course both tuners started by updating the engine’s performances, but SpeedArt actually gave us some numbers. The Cayenne Hybrid’s V6 engine has been updated to deliver 450 HP and 570 NM from a lollygagging 380 bhp and 427 lb-ft of torque. The result is a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 6 seconds and a top speed of 156 mph.

2010 Porsche Cayenne Diesel by Cargraphic

German tuner, Cargraphic, got their hands on the Porsche Cayenne Diesel back in March and already they are taking another stab at the SUV. This latest package comes with a 22% increase in power with a result of 292 HP and 644 NM of torque. This kit beats out their previous one by 2hp and manhandles the power upgrade given to the Cayenne Diesel by Lumma Design (they were only able to get 276hp out of the SUV).

The result is a top speed of 141 mph and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) which is one second faster than the standard model. Also, going from 60 to 130 km/h in fifth gear saves a good 1.5 seconds in comparison to the normal Cayenne Diesel.

Porsche builds electric Boxster prototypes

In a statement to the press, Porsche on Monday confirmed what we have long suspected: engineers at its research center in Stuttgart have been hard at work building several pure-electric prototypes.

The company says it has built three electric Boxsters to provide “an initial first important insight into new electric drive components and battery systems for all-electric vehicle drive.” Porsche says it will begin field testing in early 2011.
