Modified Suzuki Kizashi breaks land speed record

Whoever said that land speed records are only reserved for supercars and completely modified sports cars are sadly mistaken. You will probably be surprised to know that even standard vehicles – with the proper upgrades, of course – can have their (record) time in the spotlight as well.

Take this particular Suzuki Kizashi for example. While the Kizashi model isn’t exactly the type you’d associate for a speed machine, give it a few tune-ups and upgrades and you end up with a machine that can lay waste to a land speed record.

Report: Struggling Suzuki cuts 50 U.S. dealers

Any hopes that Suzuki might have had a year ago that the Kizashi would revive its U.S. sales prospects were quickly dashed once the car went on sale in late 2009. The attractively style Kizashi has not made any noticeable dent in the hyper-competitive mid-size segment, however, and Suzuki’s sales through July are down by 48 percent compared to its already terrible first half of 2009. After peaking at 101,884 units in 2007, Suzuki has only moved 13,501 vehicles through July of this year.

Suzuki Gb Launches Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) Programme

Suzuki GB is pleased to announce the launch of its new CRM programme. The new programme aims to improve the brand perception amongst prospects of its automobile, motorcycle and marine divisions, and to build a stronger relationship with them.

Suzuki GB has appointed integrated advertising agency Nexus/H to implement the new programme and they have created two distinct identities that will be central to the CRM programme, playing on the words LIFE and MY, which build on Suzuki’s core proposition “Way of Life!”.

Suzuki releases first images of the Swift

Suzuki releases first images of the SwiftSuzuki Motors UK has just released first information on the third generation Swift, along with two pictures that offer glimpse on how the new car will look like when it hits the UK showrooms this autumn. The company held the world premiere line off ceremony for the new car’s mass production at its Magyar Suzuki Corporation plant at Esztergom, Hungary.

The 2011 Swift is positioned as the company’s newest world strategic model and makes further developments in driving performance, impact safety, handling, styling, significantly lower emissions and improved fuel consumption.
