Shanghai, December 23 (Gasgoo.com) SAIC-GM-Wuling will launch its New Chevrolet Spark today, said xinhuanet.com. The new 1.2L mini-car model comes with the standard, comfort and luxury editions priced from 40,000 yuan ($5,860) to 50,000 yuan.
The New Chevy Spark mini-car made by China’s major mini-vehicle maker SAIC-GM-Wuling Auto Co., is equipped with the B-series 1.2 engine produced by this joint venture of General Motors. The low-emission engine based on the global GM engine platform is cost-effective, fuel-efficient but powerful. The P-TEC engine generates 52.2 kW/l, which is the highest in its category.

Motor Image has dropped the price of the Subaru Impreza WRX STi from the earlier RM289k price tag to a new price tag of RM251k. The price premium of upgrading from the 2.0 liter S-GT (priced at RM180k) to this 2.5 liter WRX STi model is now smaller than the previous gap of more than RM100k.
Although a sedan is available even down south in Singapore, Malaysians get the hatchback version for both the S-GT and the WRX STi. The WRX STi is powered by a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder boxer engine producing 300 PS at 6,000rpm and 407Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. These power outputs however were tested on RON 100 fuel so expect the engine to detuned itself on the fly with our RON97 fuel.

INNOTECH, a Czech company, has launched a new upgrade package for the Corvette C6. The aerodynamic package coming with the INNOTECH Corvette C6 includes a new front and rear fascia and a new hood made from carbon fiber. the company also announced that in the future the INNOTECH Corvette C6 will also be available with a wide body kit.
The INNOTECH Corvette C6 comes with new brakes, BAER or Brembo, and a new exhaust system with revised headers, mufflers and tips.

The original speed record for world’s fastest sedan, tuned or otherwise, was set by the Brabus Rocket, a heavily-modded car based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS ‘coupe.’ The record has been broken by tuning firm G-Power, with their Hurricane RS that is based on the BMW M5.
The G-Power M5 Hurricane RS managed a top speed of 365.44 kph, beating the 363.57 kph set by Brabus a few years ago. This speed has been clocked and certified at the ATP High-Seed test track in Papenburg.

Toyota, which this week announced it is facing its first financial loss since the 1940s, will unveil a “battery electric vehicle concept” (EV) at next month’s Detroit motor show.
The EV will share Toyota’s stand with the production version of the 2010 Prius, the next generation version of the best-selling hybrid.
